Using MIMIC Technology to Predict Human Immune Response
The MIMIC system provides the benefits of both standard 2D PBMC assays and animal models, while overcoming their drawbacks. MIMIC technology uses human PBMCs in engineered tissue constructs that are functionally equivalent to the human immune system. The MIMIC system is high-throughput and cost-effective, using industry-standard 96-well microliter plates on an automated platform. The MIMIC system is also modular, easily accommodating variations to address different applications (e.g., vaccine and adjuvant responses, autoimmune disease).
